Hello! I’m Rob — founder, trainer, and lifelong animal lover behind Play Pals Pet Care in Los Angeles, CA. That’s Nala, my best friend and the heart of the company.
I’ve spent my life surrounded by animals — from dogs and cats to turtles, horses, fish and more — and caring for them has always been second nature. Furthermore over the years, I’ve trained countless dogs using patience and flexibility to build lasting trust and confidence between people and their companions.
At Play Pals, I work with each person and pet to meet their unique needs — whether you are or they are high-energy adventurers, shy introverts, or working through challenges, we'll take the time to work together and figure out techniques that work with you and your pets personalities. Every person and animal deserves understanding, compassion, and a calm hand, and that’s exactly what I strive to provide.

Robert is an animal lover, and it shines through in his care for my cats and dogs (past and present). He is prompt, reliable, honest, and caring. He is patient with and loving toward my dog (Barney) and cat (Ginger), and Barney can be a handful. Ginger rarely comes to the door when people enter, but when she hears his voice, it's like catnip :) Robert is also great with communicating with me when I'm away. I fully endorse Robert. Robert is a fantastic pet sitter and I would highly recommend him to anyone! He absolutely loves all animals and is reliable, trustworthy, and compassionate. I always know that I'll be able to relax on vacation and not worry about how my cat is doing when he's the one watching her. He's great even with difficult dogs and cats and is always very patient and loving. He sent pictures while I was away and communicated daily which I really appreciated! Will definitely be booking again.

Rob is a wonderful and thoughtful pet caregiver. He treats every dog as if it is his own and spares no effort in making sure they are happy and most importantly safe. I have a 165 lbs Newfoundland and Rob had gone above and beyond in making him feel comfortable during walks. I feel secure knowing Rob is walking him.
